Syracuse University uses Watermark’s Planning & Self-Study (P&SS) to document program and unit assessment and action plans.
We have assembled guides, worksheets, video tutorials, and are offering live virtual training sessions to help faculty and staff make a smooth transition to P&SS. Please use the jump to section to navigate the resources contained on this page.
Faculty and staff in the assessment role can log in at planning.syr.edu using their Syracuse University credentials. Please contact the IEA Assessment Working Team if there are access issues.
Important Reminder for Academic Programs: If you encounter difficulty locating a course when attempting to add details for a course-based measure in the P&SS system, please reach out to the Assessment Working Team at assessment@syr.edu.

Training Sessions
Planning & Self-Study (P&SS) training sessions for faculty and staff are available by request. This includes a one-hour session covering, University processes and expectations, important considerations for the assessment and action plan and a live demo of documenting assessment and action plan in P&SS.
