Information for Administrators

Syracuse University’s course feedback system provides school/college and department course feedback administrators direct access to real-time response rates and results after grades are submitted. The course feedback system includes other features, such as a report builder to look at results over time and across courses. Detailed below is information on how administrators can access the platform and resources to use in the course feedback process.

Administrator Course Feedback System Access

School/college and department administrators can access the course feedback system in the following ways:

  • Go to coursefeedback.syr.edu and log in with your Syracuse University credentials.
  • In Blackboard, click “Tools” in the main menu and then select the “Course Feedback” tile.

Training Sessions

Training sessions for school/college and department administrators are available by request. This includes a one-hour session providing a full overview of the course feedback system, as well as sessions focused on special topics, such as the report builder feature.

Resources for Administrators

  • Course Feedback Item Banks (*.pdf)
    • School/college and departments can use the item banks to develop their forms or work with IE to incorporate other questions into the system. Instructors may draw from the item banks to add instructor-level questions on their course feedback forms or create their own (if option selected by school/college).
    • The following schools/colleges have enabled the custom questions option for instructors:
          • School of Architecture
          • College of Arts and Sciences
          • School of Education
          • College of Engineering and Computer Science
          • Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics
          • College of Law
          • Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs
          • S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications
          • College of Visual and Performing Arts

Report Access

Course reports will always be available within the course feedback system. Log in when they become accessible and follow the steps below:

Download Individual Course Reports

  1. Click on the semester hyperlink (e.g. 2022 Spring | Course Feedback) found in the Project Results widget once logged in
  2. Click on the Courses tab to search individual sections
  3. On the next page click on the Download Icon located under the Report column on the right-hand side of the table
  4. Then select the format you would like the report
    • Standard Report Type: Detailed Report + Comments
  5. Open the file to view results

Download Multiple Reports (Batch Report)

  1. Click on the semester hyperlink (e.g. 2022 Spring | Course Feedback) found in the Project Results widget once logged in
  2. Then, on the next page select all course reports you would like and then click the Batch Report hyperlink found above the table
  3. In the pop-up module:
    1. Give the ZIP file a name
    2. Select the following Report Type: Detailed Report + Comments
    3. Make sure the top option is selected “Download Multiple Reports as ZIP File for Selected Courses”
    4. Click the GO button
  4. The ZIP file will start processing and you will receive an email from the system that contains a download link for the ZIP file
  5. Open the ZIP file to view each course report

Additionally, to access reports from previous semesters, just follow these quick steps:

  1. On the top banner of the webpage click Results > Report Results
  2. Then, on the next page select the semester you are looking for then follow the steps above to complete the process.
