The rigorous Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) accreditation process includes a yearlong review of Syracuse University’s academic and co-curricular programs and functional operations, known as a self-study. This effort depends on support and engagement from the entire University community.
Numerous working groups made up of representatives from across campus focus on the seven accreditation standards outlined by MSCHE. Working group reports are then submitted to the steering committee, whose members create a draft self-study report. Following a public review and open comment period, the report is finalized and submitted to MSCHE.
