The Shared Competencies serve as a framework for students to:
- Make connections between liberal art courses and their major(s).
- Make connections between curricular and co-curricular learning experiences.
- Create unique pathways to enhance their competency development in areas that support their major field of study.
- Articulate their learning experiences and acquisition of knowledge and skills to employers and graduate schools.
